This pretty Rudbeckia is known as black eyed susan. Pretty daisy-like flowers borne on long stems, good for cutting. Sow seeds on the surface of the soil. Thin or transplant to stand 30cm apart. Top dress with a thin layer of well rotted manure once a year. Keep watered in hot weather and pinch off the dead heads. Plants may self sow, which should be encouraged. Flowers are 12cm( 5in.) across and colours are in shades of golden, yellow, mahogany and bronze. Height: 60cm( 2ft).
