Growing Okra F1 Hybrid Seeds

Okra generally grown through seeds. You can grow okra in grow bags and pots if you are doing it on your terrace. It needs well draining soil . Okra can grow in all season. Grow bags size should be around 12×12 Inches . Two okra plants will grow in one grow bag comfortably.  

Making  a good Potting soil needed for growing okra or ladies finger. Mix of River sand, Cocopeat and cow dung powder in the ratio of 1:1:1 will be a best potting soil for okra or ladies finger. Add handful of bone meal and neem cake to this mix. Seeds can grow directly in grow bag or can be transplanted after few weeks growing in seedling trays. 

Okra or ladies finger will grow vigorously at minimal care. Its better to spray neem oil or any other organic pesticide every week for distracting pests. 

Fertilizing using cow dung powder or npk 19:19:19 must be done every 10 days and should apply foliar spray of NPK 19:19:19 at the time of flowering. It will enhance better flowering and fruiting. Flowering will start from 35 to 40 days and crop harvest in 55 to 65 days after planting.  Since okra grows very fast, you can harvest okra every two days. Delaying harvest of okra will lead to maturing okras and this will inhibit more pods growing in okra plant.
