Very attractive rose-like flowers excellent for bedding and pots during the monsoon. Start sowing by March until July and cover the seeds with just a dusting of soil and keep moist. In garden flats, cover the top of the soil with polythene to encourage germination and keep in moisture. Expect germination approximately in 10-15 days. Balsam prefers partial to full Sun. Seedlings may be transplanted 30x45Cm apart. Balsam requires 60-70 days from sowing to produce flowers.
