Generally, zinnias are grown from seed, need fertile, humus-rich, and well drained soil. Zinnias are grown in full sun. Good soil quality will produce much healthier plants and flowers. Don’t crowd zinnias to keep them disease-free and avoid powdery mildew. Air circulation is important. Pinch young plants to promote compact and bushy shape. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage new blooms and maintain a neat appearance. The huge bold pink blooms are stunning cut flowers. Plants are easy to grow, resist rain, heat and mildew. Growth is vigorous to 2 ½ feet tall.
