A good bedding plant, sown in September/October. Direct seedling is preferable, as poppies do not like to have their roots disturbed. Seeds will germinate in 10-15 days. Grows in practically any type of soil and enjoys a sunny position. Thin out the seedlings 1ft apart. Flowers are double and semi double with frilled petals. Colours yellow, rose, orange, scarlet, carmine and crimson. Height 30 to 40cm.
