Ideal time of sowing is September/October. Strawflower seeds can be directly seeded into your garden. Average temperature should be 20-25 degree centigrade. Germination takes 8 to 10 days. Height 75cm. Transplant 30 cm apart. Do not cover the seed but press into the soil and keep moist. Very pretty, daisy like and brightly coloured in a wide range of colours viz crimson, rose pink, orange, yellow and pale-cream . Suitable as fresh and dried cut flower.
